What’s Page5.ph?

In today’s digital age and with the emergence of various news sites, spotting fake news from real ones has already been a challenge.

These fake news continue to discredit all kinds of stories.

But with the hope of helping solve this issue, Page5.ph was created which particularly focuses on the stories of local and international social media personalities.

Page5.ph is an online publication that serves as your daily source of news and latest stories on the hottest beauty, entertainment, tech, travel, and parenting influencers.

Through our centerfold, we will feature and provide exclusive access on profiles of influencers who made a big impact in the community, and to the rising stars who are currently creating their own names in the industry.

By 5, we also mean the 5Ws of basic information gathering that we religiously practice to deliver fresh and premium stories while conserving the best available version of truth.

Page5.ph is a community of writers who are dedicated 24/7 to follow, discover, validate and share all stories that you need to know in the digital sphere.

#MaineForMac Attended By Beauty Vloggers

It’s (almost) here! MAC Cosmetics has finally revealed its latest lipstick shade in collaboration with EatBulaga host and actress Maine Mendoza.

The actress first announced her collaboration with MAC last January 19, 2018 in her Instagram account @mainedcm. “It feels surreal to be chosen as one of the influencers and to be the first Filipina to have a lipstick collaboration with MAC,” said Maine.

Dubbed as the @mainedcm shade, Maine opted for a matte finished muted peachy beige shade that would work well on a variety of skin tones. A universal nude lipstick that everyone can wear for any occasion.

The lipstick comes in an exclusive customized kiss-print packaging made and signed by Maine herself.

As the first Filipina that MAC Cosmetics ever collaborated with, everyone couldn’t be prouder. Few of those who gave their support are, of course hindi papahuli, the beauty vloggers.

At some point in our lives, we already loved and lost and probably wanted to do everything to find a cure. As Candi said “Dahil ang totoong na pagibig ay hindi basta bastang nakakalimutan,” loving and forgetting are both hard to do. But in time, everything falls back to where it is supposed to be.

Mae Layug promotes cruelty-free beauty

In a series of tweets, beauty vlogger Mae Layug expressed her support to stop cosmetic animal testing by deleting almost 40 of her product reviews on brand involved in this practice.

Layug also mentioned dropping deals and partnerships with popular brands such as Loreal, Maybelline, Estee Lauder, Revlon, Mary Kay, Nars, and Avon as they are known for testing their products on animals.

Instead, she encouraged everyone to switch and use cruelty-free products from brands like Wet N wild, ELF, Catrice, Colourpop, Makeup Revolution, L.A. Girl.

Locally, Ever Bilena, Careline, Blk Cosmetics, Vice Cosmetics.

Each year, hundreds of thousands of animals in the world are used and killed just to assess the safety of cosmetics.

Layug ended the thread by encouraging everyone to participate in a petition that would ban animal testing worldwide.
