Wil Dasovich shares His Battle Against Cancer on National Cancer Survivors Day

Travel blogger and former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Wil Dasovich was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer in August 2017. The news did not only shock him but also his supporters.

He has been receiving treatment at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center.

After nine cycles of chemotherapy, he shared that the mass found in his lungs was gone. His lymph nodes also had no cancer.

He explained that battling the condition changed his perspective on life. “It’s not the years in your life, but it’s the life in your years that count,” he said in one of his vlogs.

To celebrate the National Cancer Survivors Day, Wil shared his own journey as one survivor. The event was organized by Strong for Someone community.

Strong for Someone is an advocacy brought by Roche (Philippines) Inc. and its partner organizations with the goal of forming a community of support among patients, families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and relevant institutions.

Wil Dasovich is known for his travel contents. He is also seen in various shows like Matanglawin.

Cancer is cruel but there are only two destinations. You can either be a victim or a survivor. It’s a mindset. Wil is strong and courageous.

Wil had the will to survive and that made him a strong cancer survivor.
